Mission of Tomsk NRMC is to create knowledge-based economy bringing health and life to people through high technologies based on advanced scientific thinking and on the world expertise in the field of fundamental and applied life sciences.

Strategic Goal

Strategic goal of Tomsk NRMC is to achieve breakthrough results strategically significant for the nation (life sciences, medicine, pharmacology, and biotechnologies) based on infrastructure systemic solutions, professional excellence, and harmonious corporate culture; to become an essential member of the world medical science community.

Priority objectives:

  • Breakthrough fundamental and applied multidisciplinary research studies corresponding to the world trends and state-of-the-art levels in the fields of medicine, biotechnology, and nanoscience; system management of infrastructure and technological base of Tomsk NRMC in fundamental and applied research.
  • Development, approbation, and implementation of the technologies for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of socially significant human diseases and comorbidities to reduce morbidity, disability, and mortality and to improve treatment outcomes and the quality of life. Development and commercialization of the therapeutic and diagnostic pharmaceuticals and pilot devices to ensure medical and technological national security and import substitution. Structural reorganization of development process.
  • Acquiring the status of the world class high tech clinic. Development of the Tomsk NRMC clinic towards achieving the world level with a united personalized informational space as a main basis for the third and fourth stages of translation research; implementation of prospective and retrospective validation clinical trials; approbation, implementation, promotion, and dissemination of new medical technologies.
  • Integration of Tomsk NRMC into the world science community based on international cooperation, development, and implementation of cutting edge scientific technologies.
  • Development of Tomsk NRMC human resources; development and improvement of the residency and postgraduate training programs to create highly skilled professional medical and scientific environment. Support of the dissertation councils as a public platform for scientific discussion and evaluation of the results generated in fundamental and applied studies.
  • Development and advancement of professional scientific journals and scientific press published by the Tomsk NRMC institutes as an essential platform for research data management, representation, and defense.
