Brief biography
In 2020, she graduated with honors from the National Research Tomsk State University, the Institute of Biology, Ecology, Soil Science, Agriculture and Forestry (Biological Institute), the Department of Human and Animal Physiology, majoring in Biology. In the same year, she entered the Master's program at the Faculty of Physics under the program "Physical Methods and Information Technologies in Biomedicine, where she is currently studying. From 2019 to the present – a research laboratory assistant at the Cancer Research Institute of TNRMC, and from 2021 to the present – a laboratory assistant at TSU.
Area of scientific interests
Oncology, molecular and cellular biology, immunology, biophysics, plasma, microwaves, nanoparticles
Frolova A. A. is engaged in the study of the influence of various physical factors on the tumor (various types of radiation, nanoparticles, plasma jets and etc). Currently, the main research interest is related to the determination of the mechanism of low-temperature plasma action on the tumor and its microenvironment.
In addition, Frolova A. A. participates in the study of the role of the immune system in tumor progression, in particular, the monocyte-macrophage system.
Achievements, awards, grants
Frolova A.A. is the winner of the competition for the appointment of a personal scholarship of the Vladimir Potanin scholarship program 2020/2021.
Project involvement as a research fellow:
The head of the grant is UMNIK. Implementation of research work on the topic "Development of technology for suppressing the growth of tumor cells using low-temperature plasma and plasma jets with minimal damage to normal cells" under the agreement №16126GU / 2020 of 24.12.2020 on the grant for research and evaluation of the prospects for commercial use of the results within the framework of the innovative project. Terms of work: 25 months (until 24.01.2023)
