Short biography

N.V. Tarasenko studied at the pediatric faculty of the Siberian State Medical University, graduated in 1999. From 1999 to 2002, she studied at the clinical internship and residency at the Siberian State Medical University, specializing in Pediatrics. N.V. Tarasenko was trained in clinical graduate school from 2002 to 2005, the Department of Medical Genetics, Siberian State Medical University. She worked as a teacher in the Department of Biomedical disciplines from 2004 to 2008 at Tomsk State Pedagogical University. She has been working in the Laboratory of Population Genetics Research Institute of Medical Genetics SB RAMS as a junior researcher since 2008, since 2010 as a researcher. She received a PhD in 2008.

She has been working as an assistant at the Department of Medical Genetics, Siberian State Medical University, 2015. Qualified as a geneticist. She passed professional retraining in laboratory genetics in 2016. Associate Professor, Department of Medical Genetics, Siberian State Medical University, 2019.

Research Interests

Studying the genetics of multifactorial diseases. Studies are conducted on the model of various types of diabetes mellitus, autoimmune endocrinopathies, cardiovascular, infectious allergic and oncological diseases. N.V. Tarasenko is the author of more than 150 published works.

Achievements, awards, grants

N.V. Tarasenko participates in research supported by grants from Russian scientific foundations: RFBR, RHF, FTP, RSF.

N.V. Tarasenko has the following awards: “Laureate of the Tomsk Region Prize in the field of education and science” in the nomination “Young Researchers in 2004, teachers, doctoral students, graduate students”, subsection “Natural Sciences”; in 2011 she received the title “Laureate of the Tomsk Region Prize in the field of education and science” in the nomination “Prizes to scientific and scientific-pedagogical collectives”. He has diplomas of the 1st degree of the Third All-Russian Congress on Diabetology on the subject “Genetics and immunogenetics of diabetes mellitus” (Moscow, 2004) and a diploma of the All-Russian scientific-practical conference of young scientists and specialists “Actual problems of modern endocrinology” (Moscow, 2008), holds an honorary diploma from the Research Institute of Medical Genetics of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences (2013)

He is a member of the All-Russian Society of Medical Genetics (ROMG), the Vavilov Society of Genetics and Breeders (VOGiS), the National Society for the Study of Atherosclerosis.
N.V. Tarasenko is an expert in the field of laboratory genetics of the Methodological center of the Scientific Medical Research Center V.A. Almazova of the Ministry of Health of Russia to support the accreditation of specialists by the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, since 2019.
