Main scientific directions

The pathogenesis and epidemiology of cardiovascular diseases in Western Siberia are studied, taking into account various factors such as climate, geography, industry, and social conditions, as well as cellular, molecular, biological, and genetic mechanisms involved in the development of these diseases.

Special attention is paid to the development and implementation of new methods for the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of cardiovascular diseases among residents of the Tyumen region. This includes high-tech approaches to treating atherosclerosis, coronary artery disease, myocardial infarction, arrhythmias, arterial hypertension, and heart failure.

An important aspect remains the development of innovative prevention strategies, the optimization of rehabilitation, and the creation of modern patient programs.

In recent years, there has been an increased focus on studying the characteristics of the development and progression of cardiovascular diseases in the populations of the Circumpolar and Arctic regions, including children. Additionally, efforts are being made to develop personalized treatment and preventive measures for residents of these areas and employees of the oil and gas industry.

The scientific justification for the organization of specialized cardiology care in the Tyumen region is currently underway.
